Embroidery Needles
I love Bohin needles, did you know they’ve been made in France since 1833?
I‘m often asked what size needle should I use? Embroidery needles come in sizes 1-10, 1 being the largest and 10 the smallest. I provide assorted packs in my starter kit but personally I like a size 5, you can buy packs of one size needle too.
The general rules are the needle shouldn’t leave a hole in the fabric, the finer the fabric and work, the smaller the needle should be. Bear in mind the smaller they get the harder they are to thread! Also the larger they are the more easily 1 strand of thread will pull out! So try a few and see what you are comfortable with.
